Real Madrid ready to sell Alonso

There has been some reports which have claimed Real Madrid could be set to offload Chelsea target Xabi Alonso.

The reigning European champions may be willing to listen to offers for the playmaker after boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to have expressed concerns about his lack of fitness in pre-season training.

Now the Metro says that Madrid believe the 32-year-old’s place in the side is under threat, especially following the signing of Toni Kroos.

And that could open the door for Chelsea to land a real bargain, as Jose Mourinho is still a big fan of his passing ability.
